MEGHAN COBBLE~ Mommy to 2: Designer to many!
Fabric, folding, designing, dreaming…I can remember as early as 6 years of age playing TG&Y Fabric
Department with my mom’s fabric collection. Does anyone remember that store? I would LOVE getting
all of her fabric out and then proceed to organize it by colors. I remember folding it just so and
arranging the fabrics in rolls, folded squares, and fan arrangements. I would then clear off the
dining room table and “pretty-tend” (as I liked to call it) to help customers choose just the right
fabric for their project! Who would have ever thought that passion of mine would one day become a reality?!
PASSION: (noun) An intense emotion, an outburst of emotions, intense enthusiasm for something.
Family, Teaching, Colors, Creating. Before beginning this business, I taught for 7 years. The art of
teaching is something I am very passionate about. There is nothing better than reaching the heart of
a child through creativity. Once a child becomes immersed in the curiosity of a project and skill,
learning is a given. Because learning and
teaching means so much to me, my husband, Kenny, and I decided
that I would stay home to provide these gifts to our children when the time came for us to begin our family!
Eli Garrett and Casey McGill...my 2 boys…they’re 2 of the main reasons I have been able to make this business
my reality. Waking up each day and giving them my all, seeing them learn, watching them grow, playing with them,
makes me one happy person! I know that my passion of teaching continues to grow as I teach Eli and Casey now at home.
Family...Loving the ones you are with brings me such joy! I couldn’t ask for a better sister-in-law! Who would
have ever thought that God would give me such a wonderful husband like Kenny AND THEN give me one of my best friends
in his sister!!
Our family is a close one. Whether it be surprising one another with by showing up on their front
door step for a weekend visit, getting together to ride Ole Dad’s skeeter or pink Jeep and “piddle” as Kenny’s family
so adoringly uses this word, we like each other!!
The girls in our family like each other so much that every year we
go on a PIG TOUR!!! It’s a weekend devoted to doing ridiculously funny activities while wearing the craziest attire,
eating the yummiest stash of junk and delectables, and playing games together! Starting this business with Kristi just
adds to the many memories we have already created together!
Colors... I am so inspired by colors; accessories are my weakness! I love to watch fabric change personality and life
when it is paired with another fabric. Adding different accessories whether it be a silk flower, a funky grosgrain
ribbon, or neat and tidy buttons...makes the contour and perspective of fabric completely different. I could spend
hour just “pretty-tending” with color! Color provides rhythm, strength, personality, and flavor to all of life’s
venues.
Creating...It’s what we are on this earth to do. Life’s about creating experiences, families, friendships, and
memories. Creating new designs is such a joy to me; I am so excited with each new project that comes my way!
k.mac...in a nutshell is my perfect fit! It allows me to relish in all of my passions!
Family, Teaching, Colors, Creating...Who would have ever thought these passions of mine would one day become my
reality?! I’m so thankful that it did!! Thank goodness for the TG&Y Fabric Department!!
