There’s nothing better than a heart that just feels good. {Open. Able. Impressionable.} Well, that feeling is just exactly what brought k.Mac’s Sunshine for the Soul to life. I wanted to develop a home goods line that was from the work of my own hands. And I wanted to give a portion of the proceeds of every purchase back to charity. This portion would be given in goodwill and with a happy heart. And since 2008, I have done just that with hand painted art and natural hand poured soy candles. Yes, my heart feels good. When I taught, my mantra was “A child’s smile is sunshine for the soul.” I actually painted this saying on my classroom wall. And when deciding on what to name this new division of k.Mac, my mantra was a perfect fit.
